Procedures & Payment Options
1.) To pay by check or money order: Write out a copy of your shopping cart page. You may call in your order and follow up with a check or money order made payable to The Silver Penny. Or send a copy of your shopping cart page with payment to: The Silver Penny, 18 Star Road, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107.
2.) To pay by credit or debit card: Credit or debit cards are only accepted through the secure, online Paypal payment service. To keep our prices down, we are not set up to accept credit card orders over the phone. To place an order, fill out your shopping cart, click on the "Check Out" button and follow the procedure to complete your payment. The first time you use Paypal, you will have the choice to register or you may make an "instant payment" in which setting up a PayPal account is not necessary. Whichever you decide, credit card payments are quick and easy. (Note: If you use a debit card, your order will not be shipped until your payment clears the bank, which is usually 3-4 business days.)

If you are using a credit or debit card: The PayPal shopping cart is set up to add your shipping fee as you check out based on your total.
Below is a chart of the shipping fees based on your total that have been entered into the PayPal shopping cart program. These fees are applicable to orders in the 48 Continental US states only. Alaska, Hawaii and International customers, see notice below.

Orders weighing over 3 lbs. or going outside the United States may require additional postage. If you place an order and the postage paid does not cover the actual cost of shipping, we will contact you by email and send an invoice for the difference.

When will my order arrive? Currently, orders are being shipped Priority Mail every day (except Sunday) and should arrive within 3-4 business days.* Heavy items, such as Treehouses or blocks, are shipped UPS and will arrive within 5-7 business days. If you place an order for a customized Tooth Fairy Bag, it must be handcrafted and usually ships within 2-3 days.
*Exception: If you use a debit card, your order will be held until your payment clears, which is usually 3-4 business days.
